Bridge Box, Lost Box, Suspended Box

Bridge Box

Lost Box

Suspended Box
I love boxes and all that they hold.  These boxes each 13x13x2.5" wooden hinged and with front latch each have detail view archival prints mounted on the top and interiors planes. Each are signed and sealed.

This particular format is new for me and I am excited to create more.

Thank you ArtWalk Pasadena!

Thank you to the wonderful Playhouse District Association for coordinating yet another amazing ArtWalk.  I met and talked with so many kind people.  It was also so very encouraging to see some folks returning and making it there mission to stop by to see me and the new work. Although I would love to find a way to say thank you to each and every individual, I am going to send this HUGE THANK YOU out into the world here and hope it reaches all those there to support in person and those whom did so from afar.

If you were one of the folks out there let me know, I would love to hear from you, and I want to remind you that if you couldn't find the print or piece you were searching for that day, let me know, I will create it just for you!

Remember you can always email me at

And again THANK YOU!!!!!

Pasadena In Focus (Sept/Oct 2013)

My drawing (the blurry red left:), and multi media collaboration with Kathryn Roberts from the last ArtNight at the Armory, on the cover for this months Pasadena in Focus. I won't be in on this ArtNight, doing ArtWalk the following day as part of ArtWeekend. But you can still catch Buddy Zapata's Junkshop Republic, playing the Armory with Kat's custom mirror ball installation.

Life drawing demos

This term I happen to be teaching an 8 hour life drawing course.  This is quite intensive, we have only just begun, starting of course with anatomy, proportion, and planes.
I am look forward to the long terms model poses we will be able to work through later in the term.

gorgeous garage

I went for a walk on the 4th of July, along the way I passed this beautiful garage. the wood was so very weathered, but the sun was hitting and the colors of it surroundings where bouncing so much that it seemed to absorb them in this surreal way that was so very inspiring. Today I had to draw it.

bridge disected

getting ready for a show going up at Euro Pane here in Pasadena,

The work builds on my collaboration with the talented photographer Kat Roberts. We have tackled similar subjects and compositions previously, however this time Kat provided her beautiful metallic prints and I collaged, painted, drew, and in this case sewed all over them. The series was challenging and I will post more  as the show goes up this weekend.
