Items online!!!

Finally, I have a few items available online! Thanks to the wonderful response from so many of you at the POPUP shop last weekend. I was so nice to see so many in person, stop and chat for a few, once again thank you! Some of the inventory from the shop is available here for those who couldn't make ithttp://www.ra-di-ant.com/catalogue.html

As you know much of my work available is in either very small quantities (the cards) or the one and only. For example there is just one hand drawn wooden ornament left! If you are looking for delivery by Christmas, T-shirts and light sculptures must be ordered by the 18th and all else by Friday the 19th.

ArtWalk Next Weekend!

It's that time of year again! Next Weekend!

You're invited! Saturday • October 11 • 11am - 5pm
(on El Molino between Colorado Blvd and Green Street)

I will be @ booth 24 (directly across from Playhouse Alley) excited to say hello to all of you!

This past year has been a busy one for me, from the publishing of "I love to Be a Daddy" (the book I illustrated that launched at last years walk), to a commissioned public art project. I am hoping you have spotted in the Playhouse District (link about that project at the bottom here) I have a number of new original works, collaborations, new cards and prints all for sale at the walk.

I have also created 2 limited edition screen print versions of my "Local Hero" colorado bridge piece on a gorgeous green jute tote bag that will make it's public debut at the ArtWalk. Scoop one up and you get to carry my artwork and your love for the wonderful city of Pasadena every where you go.

Thank you so much!!
I look forward to seeing you!

Most Sincerely,
Alicia

Education History= Utility

Utility is defined as the state or quality of being useful.

My second utility box design was installed! It sits at the corner of Los Robles and Walnut at the edge of the Playhouse District in Pasadena. It honors investment in education, reflecting and remembering the history of what once stood on the corner opposite its position, in sketchy line, stitched at the seams.

Big thanks to the wonderful Playhouse District Association  for sponsoring the project and so much beautiful public art in the district.

Thank you also to WrapAds in Pasadena for the amazing print and installation work!

Studies for upcoming REDCAT live drawing under direction of Carole Kim.

Continuing in my new small sketchbook with studies for upcoming live drawing session for Carole Kim's "Singing Head" installation at REDDCAT as part of the second session of the NOW
(New Original Works) series in a few weeks. The drawings will be included via live feed camera inverted projection, hence the digital inversion test pictured here.

Commissioned Utility Box Postcards: want one?

The installation of the second utility box commission may not be finished yet, but the postcards are ready!

They are out and about in various Pasadena Playhouse District locations to pick up. I also have a limited number of them. If you are not in the Pasadena area, are interested in my work, and want one -  I recently launched myself on instagram, sharing my work, if you follow me@ http://instagram.com/aliciagorecki, go find these posts, and email me your info @ aliciagome@gmail.com. I will send you one. You choose, Education History= Utility or the Imagination=Utility box card. Let's start with first 50 folks, and see how it goes. Thanks @Playhousedistrict for the beautiful cards! #art #traditionalmeetsdigital #utility #vinylart #pasadena #education #imagination #postcards #drawing #prismacolors #publicart

"Local Hero" Canvas Tote Bag

This tote bag was a commissioned version of my Local Hero painting of the Colorado Bridge here in Pasadena. The wonderful Organization
http://ielts.org/ licensed this vector version of my painting to be screen printed on tote bags and given out to administrators at their national meeting this summer. They also produced a t-shirt, which I have yet to photograph.

Thank you IELTS!

Postcards: "Local Hero"

I was recently commissioned to turn my painting "Local Hero" (colorado bridge) into single color vector illustration for screen printing on gift tote bags and t-shirts. I will post pics of the final products later, these are postcards that will accompany the gifts when they are delivered to national meeting attendees.
