Wow, this last few months has felt like a marathon. From art fair prep, to the fair last month, set design, creation and installation, photobooth prep and events, Reid learning lines for the largest role he has ever had in the shortest time, me teaching three classes two of which were portfolio, with portfolio reviews, volunteering, meetings, oh and all the regular life stuff like homework and managing to eat (we mostly left out the cleaning part. But this gorgeous gray morning I am managing to finally go through some of the pics from Jacakalope so I can send out a thank you to folks who stopped by. Sharing these with you.

With this event, I am stepping out of my primarily fine artist role and have been experimenting to design and make functional objects. Pieces that I will be selling are along the lines of what I shared with you at the ra-di-ant pop up shop this past December. (Thank you again most sincerely to all those who stopped by! That was such a fun weekend)
My Functional and Fine Art Objects available at Jackalope Pasadena include:
• NEW limited quantity hand-painted ornaments (previous versions sold out)
• NEW limited edition screen printed tote bags
You can preview many of the pieces via instagram @aliciagorecki or my blogs aliciagorecki.com and aliciasillustration.blogspot. com.
I am in booth #90 (highlighted on the map), not far from the workshop area, just above the northwest corner of the croquet court.

Items online!!!
Finally, I have a few items available online! Thanks to the wonderful response from so many of you at the POPUP shop last weekend. I was so nice to see so many in person, stop and chat for a few, once again thank you! Some of the inventory from the shop is available here for those who couldn't make ithttp://www.ra-di-ant.com/catalogue.html
As you know much of my work available is in either very small quantities (the cards) or the one and only. For example there is just one hand drawn wooden ornament left! If you are looking for delivery by Christmas, T-shirts and light sculptures must be ordered by the 18th and all else by Friday the 19th.
http://www.ra-di-ant.com/catalogue.html I would sincerely appreciate if you are so inclined to share:)

Education History= Utility
Utility is defined as the state or quality of being useful.
My second utility box design was installed! It sits at the corner of Los Robles and Walnut at the edge of the Playhouse District in Pasadena. It honors investment in education, reflecting and remembering the history of what once stood on the corner opposite its position, in sketchy line, stitched at the seams.
Big thanks to the wonderful Playhouse District Association for sponsoring the project and so much beautiful public art in the district.
Thank you also to WrapAds in Pasadena for the amazing print and installation work!

"Local Hero" Canvas Tote Bag
This tote bag was a commissioned version of my Local Hero painting of the Colorado Bridge here in Pasadena. The wonderful Organization
http://ielts.org/ licensed this vector version of my painting to be screen printed on tote bags and given out to administrators at their national meeting this summer. They also produced a t-shirt, which I have yet to photograph.
Thank you IELTS!

Postcards: "Local Hero"
I was recently commissioned to turn my painting "Local Hero" (colorado bridge) into single color vector illustration for screen printing on gift tote bags and t-shirts. I will post pics of the final products later, these are postcards that will accompany the gifts when they are delivered to national meeting attendees.
